I’ve been a pastor for over 16 years. I never planned on it. I also never planned on losing homes, savings, and land trying to build a better life — or on finding myself at 51 still figuring out what faithfulness actually looks like in the day-to-day.
I write for the leaders who didn’t audition for the role. The ones who got called, promoted, or just ended up responsible for people — and who are still quietly asking whether they’re enough for it.
I’m not a success story. I’m a work in progress. That’s the whole point.
